Results

The Institute utilizes five key principles that guide the work of each Task Force. To achieve success it is critical that the efforts:

1. Reach deep within the African American Community — particularly that portion of population that is normally missed by standard marketing, informational/educational programming efforts

2. Ensure that any materials, curriculum and outreach is culturally sensitive and appropriate

3. Identify the public policy approaches that will best assist in addressing the issues confronting these communities.

4. Include and expand the stakeholder base in the community

5. Measure the results.
